As soon as Mayor Isko Moreno seated officially as a City Mayor of Manila, his name was one of the most mentioned in social media along with Vico Sotto, mayor of Pasig City. These two gentlemen are the two most popular names in Politics because of the entertainment industry affiliated with their names. Vico is a son of Vic Sotto whereas Isko Moreno was one of the artist handled by Kuya Germs, known as the pillar of Philippine Entertainment Industry.
Isko Moreno defeated Erap Estrada who was the former Mayor and former President of the Philippines. The 29- year old Vico defeated Eusebio whose family has ruled the City for 27 years. Vico had promised voters a “new kind of politics,” a message that appeared to resonate in the nation’s eighth-largest city.
But in the last month, Isko Moreno appears to be the most popular mayor in the Philippines and the most popular politician. He became their Role model and even Manny Pacquiao after his fight against Thurman pay a visit to Moreno which shows that Isko has already established his name in Politics.
Moreno implemented "One Stop Shop" for one-day processing of business permits in Manila and after a day, on President Duterte's State of the Nation Address, the President himself ordered to implement one-day processing of business permits in the entire Philippines. This shows that the President acknowledged Isko Moreno and he is on President's eye now.
While Moreno enjoys the limelight of his success, the netizens are asking the whereabouts of Vico Sotto. Vico Sotto seems to be so silent in Social Media but it's too early to judge as he may really working silently.
